Edward Dwyer
President & CEO
With over four decades of experience in the equipment rental industry, Ed Dwyer founded C&T Rentals & Sales in 1987 after serving in the Canadian Navy and building experience in commercial diving, gas fitting, plumbing, and electrical work. What began as a one-man heater rental operation has grown into one of Manitoba’s leading independent equipment rental companies.
Ed has been the driving force behind C&T’s success, leading the company with a commitment to exceptional customer service, quality equipment, and continuous innovation. He has also served as President of both the Manitoba Rental Association and the Canadian Rental Association, and was honoured with the American Rental Association’s President’s Image Award for his contributions to the rental industry.
Nelson Kalin
Chief Financial Officer
With nearly 30 years of executive financial leadership experience, Nelson Kalin brings a wealth of expertise in financial strategy, operational excellence, and business growth to C&T Rentals & Sales. Throughout his career, he has led financial operations across the aerospace, manufacturing, and equipment rental industries, specializing in budgeting, forecasting, strategic planning, mergers and acquisitions, and business transformation.
At C&T Rentals, Nelson oversees the company’s financial operations, helping guide long-term growth through sound financial management and strategic decision-making. His leadership and extensive experience play a key role in supporting C&T’s continued success while ensuring the company remains well-positioned for the future.
Darren Waldner
Vice President of Operations
Darren Waldner brings extensive hands-on experience in construction, installation, and agricultural operations to his role as Vice President of Operations at C&T Rentals. After beginning his career in Manitoba’s dairy industry, he moved into construction and developed specialized expertise in concrete and paving-stone installation.
Today, Darren oversees the systems and standards that keep C&T Rentals operating safely and efficiently. He focuses on coordinating people and equipment, refining day-to-day processes, and maintaining accountability across the company. His technical background and methodical approach help turn operational challenges into practical, lasting improvements.
Doug Pinder
General Manager
Doug Pinder has been an integral part of C&T Rentals since joining the company as a general labourer in 2010. Over more than 16 years, he has gained firsthand experience across nearly every area of the business, progressing through roles as a delivery driver, service representative, outside sales representative, rental supervisor, and branch manager.
Now serving as General Manager, Doug provides company-wide leadership while keeping customer service at the heart of the business. His broad experience and practical understanding of C&T Rentals help him guide the team, strengthen customer relationships, and ensure every project receives dependable, responsive support.
Shawna Dwyer
Inventory Manager
Shawna Dwyer is the Inventory Manager at C&T Rentals, known for her personalized approach to customer service and her extensive knowledge of the rental industry. She works closely with clients to provide tailored equipment recommendations that meet the specific demands of their projects. Shawna’s commitment to ensuring each customer receives the best possible support and solutions has made her an invaluable part of the C&T Rentals team, contributing to the company’s ongoing success in Winnipeg and beyond.
