What Constitutes a Rental Period?

A rental period on most equipment is a 24-hour day from the time the equipment is picked up. A minimum rental rate only applies during the opening hours of our store. The week rate is based on 7 full days. The 4-week period is based on 28 continuous calendar days.

Cleaning Charges

Cleaning charges apply to all equipment. Please return equipment clean and in good working order. Cleaning charges will be based on current shop labour rates.

Equipment Availability

We cannot guarantee the availability of all equipment. Please call our store to see if an item is in stock. Reservations may be made on some equipment in advance. You may reserve some items in our catalog. Reservations require a full payment of the rental fee in advance. We are held harmless if by chance that the equipment that you reserve is not available for the date that you reserved it for. Even if your equipment is reserved we have to depend on the equipment coming back on a timely manner and in good condition from the previous renter. If a customer does by chance cancel a reservation, all deposits maybe lost.

Delivery & Pick Up is available on most equipment.

For your own benefit, when you call in for us to pick up, please ask for and record the pick up slip number. Delivery & pick up charges do not include setting up or taking down of any equipment. Other labour charges may apply if equipment is not ready when driver arrives for pick up. Customer pick-ups: As a courtesy we help customers load and un-load their own vehicles. However, we are not responsible for damages caused to vehicles during this process.

Rental Deposits

If you do not have an account with us, deposits and photo ID are required on all equipment. Deposits can be made by VISA, MASTERCARD only.

C & T Damage Waiver Policy
DAMAGE WAIVER CHARGE
IS NOT AN INSURANCE POLICY Damage Waiver Policy In Printable Page Here
NOVEMBER 2016

The Damage Waiver is administered internally by C & T Rentals and Sales Ltd. It is set up to cover the every day minor and major accidental damages that occur to our equipment that our customers do not want to pay for and we do not want to charge for.

It encourages customers to report damages to our equipment rather than trying to hide them and causing safety problems.

It takes care of a void in most customers' insurance polices where the deductible is in a lot of cases higher than the damage cost.

The Damage Wavier carries a cost of 7% and is automatically calculated into the rental invoice, it is not refundable.

The Damage Waiver covers accidental equipment damage and vandalism if accompanied by a Police Report up to a maximum of $2500.00 per Rental Contract.

Example: you rented a $1000.00 quick cut saw for a day for $50.00 and you paid your $ 3.50 Damage Waiver then you accidentally backed over it with your truck {it has happened} and did $500.00 damage, this would be covered by our Damage Waiver.

The Damage Waiver does not cover:

  • Stolen, Lost or Missing equipment.
  • Misuse or abuse of equipment.
  • Customer Negligence
  • Damage incurred by a third party.
  • Tires and Glass.
  • Equipment that is sub rented.

The Renter has the option to decline the Damage Waiver and C& T Rentals & Sales Ltd. has the option to decline to offer the Damage Waiver.

If the Renter declines the Damage Waiver then the Renter agrees to pay any and all costs incurred by C & T Rentals & Sales Ltd. to replace, repair or restore the equipment to its original condition and rental charges incurred until the rental equipment is put back into the rental fleet.

We also reserve the right to ask for a damage deposit of a minimum of $200.00 per rental contract if the Damage Waiver is declined.

I/We do not wish to purchase the Damage Waiver for our rented equipment and accept all responsibility for damage and repair of rented equipment and rental charges incurred until the rental equipment is put back into the rental fleet.

C & T TransCube Rentals & Bulk Fuel Sales Policy
TransCube Rental & Bulk Fuel Sales Policy In Printable Page Here

April 1, 2021

C&T Rentals has one of the largest rental fleets of Trans Cubes in the province.

Our customers expect Trans Cubes with uncontaminated diesel or gasoline in them if they request fuel to avoid expensive repairs and down time on equipment such as generators.

Alternatively, if our customers choose to purchase their fuel elsewhere, we are happy to provide empty Trans Cubes.

When C&T is requested to provide Trans Cubes with fuel in them to our customers, we will invoice the rental, fuel, and delivery charges on the date of delivery.

To service, maintain and inspect our tanks to keep them free from contamination, our tanks should be returned to C&T empty of fuel. Credits will not be issued for fuel returned in tanks. Pump out and disposal charges may apply to tanks that are returned containing contaminated fuel.
